Allen Charles Allaback

Allen Charles Allaback was born in Galion, Ohio, December 4, 1874. He attended the public schools of Galion until his family removed to Dayton, where he completed his education. Having a natural inclination for railroad work from boyhood, when he was fascinated by the speeding locomotives, he allied himself with the Great Brotherhood, first as fireman and later as an engineer. He held this position when appointed to the force, January 5, 1903. Christina M., his wife, and one son, Herbert, comprise the family. Mr. Allaback is still a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and is also affiliated with the Knights of Pythias.
