Charles E. Brown, who has been a capable and efficient patrolman on the police force since July 21, 1904, was born in the village of Arnheim, Ohio, on August 13, 1873. He received a liberal education in the public schools at Sardinia, Ohio, which fitted him to do clerical work, and he was engaged in that capacity at the N.C.R. factory when appointed to the force. Mr. Brown has been a member of the Third Regiment, O. N. G., for the past five years. His wife's name is Anna Marie, and they have two sons, Huston and John. Mr. Brown is affiliated with the K. of P. and Ben Hur lodges.
