John Patrick Corrigan, a thorough American, though of Irish descent, was born on a farm in Van Buren Township, Montgomery County, on November 16, 1869. He was educated in the country schools and grew up to follow the occupation of his father. While he was raising large crops, Mr. Corrigan was also raising several children and he decided, after several years to remove to Dayton, in order that they might have larger opportunities for an education. He was appointed driver on the patrol wagon on March 19, 1894. Mr. Corrigan is a Hibernian and Forester.
