Theodore H. Donovan is a native of the Blue Grass State, having been born on a farm in Pendleton County, Kentucky, on November 2, 1882. At an early age he accompanied his parents to Dayton, where he received his schooling and adopted the occupation of steam fitter. For a number of years Mr. Donovan followed this occupation, studying between times for the examination necessary to enter the police service. He was appointed patrolman May 20, 1909. Mr. Donovan is a benedict, his wife's name being Elizabeth. He is affiliated with the I. O. O. F. and K. of P. lodges.
