Charles A. Glotfelter, who has been a turnkey in the service of the police department since August 31, 1904, was born on a farm in Green County, Ohio, on April 11, 1868. He was educated in the country schools and grew up on the farm. After several years of farm life he took up his residence in Dayton and secured employment as a street car motorman. He was engaged in this capacity when appointed turnkey at the Second Precinct station. Recently he was transferred to central station. Mr. Glotfelter is a valuable man to the department. He is a Modern Woodman. He and his wife, Laura, have one son, Emerson.
