Frank McGovern, who has been a member of the Dayton police force since January 13, 1907, is a Daytonian by birth. He was born in the Gem City on October 17, 1872. He received his education in the public schools, and has spent his entire life so far in the city of his birth. Mr. McGovern was born with a love for horses, and it was no more than natural that he should engage himself as a driver after he had grown up. Although Mr. McGovern was appointed patrolman, and holds a patrolman's badge, he spent much of his time in recent months on the patrol wagon as relief man. His wife's name is Nora.
