A kind-hearted and considerate man who, at the same time has a firm will power, is the sort of a man needed on an ambulance, and the Dayton police department certainly has such a man in the person of John Jacob Null, who was born on a farm in Montgomery County, Ohio, July 18, 1864. After completing his education in the public schools Mr. Null secured employment in the N. C. R. and later engaged himself as traveling salesman for the Toledo Computing Scale Company. He was appointed ambulance officer August 8, 1904. Mr. Null is identified with the I. O. O. F. He has a wife, Anna, and three children, Harry, Anna, and Ruth.
