Henry O'Hagan, as his name implies, is a native of the Emerald Isle. He was born on a farm in Ireland on December 4, 1865, coming to the United States after he had received his schooling and had reached early manhood. Mr. O'Hagan came to Dayton soon after arriving in this country and accepted employment as a laborer. He was a hard and industrious worker of good reputation, and when he applied for a place on the police force there was one waiting. He was appointed November 6, 1893. That the department is satisfied with his work is shown by the length of time he has been retained. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and is unmarried.
