Samuel A. Procuniar is a native of Dayton, having been born in that city on November 20, 1875. He attended the public schools, receiving a good education. After leaving school the factories, many of which were springing up in Dayton, offered the best opportunities for employment, and he sought work in a machine shop. He was engaged in this work when appointed patrolman on the police force, November 25, 1907. Mr. Procuniar's family consists of his wife, Myrtle, two sons, Earle and Robert, and one daughter, May.
