George S. Saunders is a native of Franklin County, Ohio, having been born at Columbus on August 20, 1883. When a lad his parents removed to Dayton, where he received his education in the public schools. When appointed to the police force as patrolman, on February 13, 1908, he was following the occupation of hard-wood finisher. Mr. Saunders is another of the members of the police force with a war record. He served three years in the Twelfth United States Battery, Field Artillery. During his connection with the police department Mr. Saunders has demonstrated that he has the qualities of a capable officer. His wife's name is Grace.
