Charles V. Thomas, a patrolman on the Dayton police force since February 5, 1908, was born in the village of West Union, Ohio, on December 13, 1875. While attending the village school there he spent much of his time in the print shop, with the result that he soon learned the trade. He soon took up his residence in Dayton, where larger advantages were offered, and was following his trade when appointed to the force. Mr. Thomas is a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. He has a wife, Kathryn, and one daughter, Elizabeth. Mr. Thomas is deservingly popular among his fellow officers.
